Their doing this to support the campaign of stopping child abuse, and to make above statements on their status. Some of the Facebook users say how this is going to help to stop child abuse.
I think i agree with the person that wrote how this is going to help stopping child abuse because is just changing a picture is nothing else but i still think that's carrying of someone showing out how they support of stopping child abuse!

and i did change my picture into my favorite character...
That was fake . They just made that so that kids would add people faster since they didnt know who it was and there were just a cartoon character there . & i think that really isnt ah big deal as long as your kid isnt adding anybody just to have friends .
