Spending more on drugs may not mean better care

Summary:

This article is mostly about, spending habits on unnecessary drugs! given to patients. There have been studies and imformation given based on the U.S health care medicare drug spending and wrong precriptions for elderly people. Says the reseachers at the " University of Pittsburgh " Graduate school of Public Health. They put as an example, high-risk drugs were prescribed to 44% of medicare patient in Alexandria,La.,compared with only 11% in Bronx,N.Y. Something that is VERY SUSPICIOUS....is that reseachers found out that different regions where medicare patients was were most likely to get prescriptions for harmful and " high-rick" drugs.

Reaction:

That makes me scared for my grandmother. how about if " god forbid" my grandmother gets hit and needs to be prescripted drug! what would happen to her?
