A driver who is serving man slaughter charges for hitting 14 year old boy Matthew Kenneys blames the parents for their sons death. He blames them because they let their son ride his bike in the street without a helmet. He insist that he was driving the speed limit, but that Matthew and his friends were jumping their bikes off a ramp into a two lane road in the street. Plus he says the weather conditions were wet and foggy. Matthew suffered internal injuries, broken bones and lacerations. He was declared brain dead the next day. The driver has five drunken arrests since the late 1990's on his record, in which four resulted in convictions. He was not charged with drunk driving in the Kenny case.
Reactin: Wow it's bad enough he ran over their 14 year old with a car, but then to blame the parents and sue them. He can't just blame the parents for their sons death, he should have been driving with more cuation espescially in those weather conditions. It's good he is serving 10 years in prison. Also even if Matthew was wearing a helmet I dont think it would have protected his head from the impact of the car. But he will be missed by his parents and two brothers, ages 2 and 13.

Wow thats crazy they should of been wacthing him and the boy can't ride peoples bike with no permission
ReplyDeletewell its a stupid reason to sue the parents for , because the boy is old enough to at least ride a bike around and even if he was going the speed limit the boy is young what if he just started to ride bikes on streets . Also he is influenced by the people around him , so of couse hes going to act like that .
ReplyDeletevery well said, marcus.
