17-year old girl hit by car on City Island as it made U-turn onto curb:cops

Saturday night at 10:45 pm an unidentified 17-year old girl was struck by a Ford pickup truck as the man driving the vehicle was doing a U-turn & hit a curb. The young victim as standing on the sidewalk with her friends when the 40-year old man hit her. The girl was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center where it was said the girl had suffered brain trauma and is still in critical conditions this Sunday morning. The 40-year old man was taken into custody to be interogated. the man refused to take a Breathalyzer test to see if alcohol was involved. The investigators were waiting for a court order Sunday morning to take a sample of the 40-year old mans blood to see if he was drinking


Reaction~ I think the man was drinking Saturday night. He didnt want to take the test because he knew he was gulity. And the photo of the car when it hit the girl, the car was basically destroyed. The good thing is that she survived the hit. But i think she in good hands now.. theres no better place than Jacobi Medical Center where i was born :)
